Why is the smoothing on 0 instead of 5? That would account for the graph reading 5whp/5+wtq high across the rpm range.

I ordered a 2nd ecu and the cortex for my hhr ss. it should be here this week, got it from autoacessory.com for $356 then they pricematched it to $341 plus the 8% bing cashback for an out the door price of $313.72 for the cortex. not too shabby.

It didn't make that much of a difference, but were different dyno runs, I decided I wanted to do them without smoothing for now on to see where it peaks at. There was a -2.7WHP diff with smoothing on the 281whp run. I can get the smoothed graphs when I go back friday. But all the newer graphs will be without smoothing.

if you do not have it already, download winpep 7 (free) and ask your dyno guy to burn your files to cd, then you can take the data from your runs and stick them into a chart in excel and see exactly what you are making at all rpms and it is really easy to read.

Does anyone else have any updates with these things?

drewbroo - I appreciate the time you have taken with this.

I think this is a very viable, cost effective option if I choose to believe that the GM Stage Kit is further delayed....

Flashpaq.com forum is up and running again, I posted in there asking when the 93 octane map would be complete and mentioned that custom tuners were seeing 340whp and torque with boltons. Hopin theyll put a lil somethin extra in the 93 for us....

Cool , I meant on super chips site thou, where they say the SS/TC gains 40hp and 53ftlbs . It looks like from your sheet that they are to the wheel numbers..... but wasn't sure. Sometimes company's will use BHP to make the gains look better.

superchips traditionally uses whp, they make their maps on the dyno

Hacking off my cat behind my 02 sensor and removing the resonator raised the numbers. Not as much as i thought it would, but now I am at 288WHP/314Ftlbs. My ******* forgot to get the printout, but here is the run from it on video. The car sounds pretty mean now.

Well if you enjoy 12-18 more WHP at 20-30ftlbs and frequent CELS go with the trifecta tune. (On 93 Octane)

If you want what I am putting down on 91 Octane, go with the superchips. They also let you keep the tuner, give you a warranty, and will be having a 93 Oct tune coming out soon which will make more power.

Its just my opinion though.

WOHWOHWOHWOHWOHW

see .. this is why what zoomer just said in the twin charged build thread applies..

20 whp and trq more.. yes... frequent cels? WTF ARE YOUR TALKING ABOUT lol if anyone is/ was getting frequent cels the should've been talking to vince about it to get it fixed.. because thats an option...

vince and i have done 6 ss/tc tunes and not ONE of them has had any cels'...

though vince has had some issues from certain parts installed now that he owns an lnf everything has been ironed out .. hell vince went to the dyno on a stupid hot day.. laid down 220 whp stock 250 whp with the stage tune, 260-270 whp with his previous tune for the lnf's and 300 whp his new lnf tune he's been developing..

when you have something that throws a cel on your setup.. (oh idk say like an improperly made intake or something) let me know how it goes getting it tuned to compensate

this flasher is a nice option but don't go spreading BS

do a search blue, more than a handful have had issues, absurd A/F ratios, misfires, CELS

Ive been on the 91 octane map for 500 miiles, no clutch slippage, no knock, no CELS and i still have decent traction on my RE950's

Ask Sherm420 how he liked his trifecta tune. After removing the tune he had to take his car into a dealer, and now he is still getting cels with it returned to stock with stock airbox. I wasn't going to go into detail with this, but I will if you want me too.

It has had its share of issues, its a great tune don't get me wrong, and makes great power, but all that power comes at a cost. Throw a tuner at me, and if I don't get cels, I will gladly aplaud you on the forums, and post dyno results and videos. I am a non partisan party when it comes to tunes. I just call it how I see it.

500 miles with mine too (all good) and I love the data logging this thing is capable of. I also did some distance and time tests with it and logged a 13.8 1/4 and a 5.2 0-60, just gotta work on launch...anyone heard that they are working with HP on some projects? I read a post on SC forum where it made it sound like it.

all of things that can and are addressed.. dont act like a majority of the people have had issues..

tell me how much tuning knowledge you have before you claim absurd AFR's the AFRs were based off of what made the most on the test car / what seemed to work best with the car being tuned at the time

and as far as sherm.. as far as i'm aware he got everything straightened out THROUGH trifecta.. all the power "comes at a cost?" lol .. the tune can be tweaked and fix any issues that may arise for what ever reason.. unless hardware related (which it looks like thats what sherms issue was)

i'm not saying the superchips isn't another option or it isn't a good option for certain people.. but don't make it sound like trifecta WILL cause issues because a few people have ran into issues.. i'm sure once more people get sct flasher more people will have issues..

I guess I will go into detail then. Sherm had to get a second ECU so he could send his old ECU in to get flashed back to stock. (To be confirmed to no longer have the trifecta tune.) The issues never got worked out, and if you want to see rediculous afr's look at his from his trifecta tune. He was running very very very rich.

I am running mods that the SCT tuner is not even designed for, and still no cels. I have put over 3000 miles on since getting the SC Tune.
