So from what I'm getting Trifecta makes about 300whp and 320wtq? and the superchips makes 270whp and 290wtq? Both at 20psi....

I made 299.10TQ .... read
And also read the conditions, and read what OCT I was on.... Also Read about how conservative the tune is that I am using and how safe it is.
Also Trifecta is 22+ for most people PSI

I am not being pissy, I am just helping your reading comprehension skills.

The tuner can be had for about 350, and you get to keep it. It also flashes back to stock, and has very USABLE power. Thats all I was interested in. I like my cars to be great all around, not just a good straight line roll racer. For me the twisties with a balanced car is the best. At the point the car is at right now, I feel like it is perfectly balanced. Sure in a roll race against a 345WHP 375Ftlbs of tq balt it will lose, but in the end if I had that much power, I wouldn't be able to drive my car like I like to. Also reliability>maximum power

In all honesty with full boltons you might hit 300 WHP/325 WTQ in optimum conditions. Thats pretty decent and it still retains reliability. I get your thinking man. How many cars out there pushing 1:10 ratio of WHP? Not a whole bunch... I would still like to see something a little more aggressive, atleast 35/55. If those numbers are seen, I could see paying 400 for a good tuner/data logger/code reader. My goal is 315-325 WHP...doubt I can make that with this tune, but I definately dont think its a bad tune.

Superchips updates their tunes, as new more reliable/powerful ones come out. You just check through the program they supply with your tuner. Example. a 93OCT tune comes available, you will click the update, and its put on your program carrier as a choice. Any major problems with a tune, call a tech, they might send you a different one. They did that for my mustang everytime I upgraded something one it. (I had to send the chip in each time.)

And yeah I drive it like a stole it, so 350WHP would be a bad thing for me.

drewbroo, so there isnt a site where you can see all available tunes without software, or do you need the cortex to see the tunes.

yea im a very agressive driver and i have driven a car with the trifecta an hahn catless DP still could do full throttle and not rip them up too bad but throw in some un even pavement or a little rain i think half throttle would tear it up. The fact is its not permenent you can upgrade do bolt ons and what not thats why im going with it just for the fact if i love 300 ft lbs awesome if i want a lil more do some bolt on with the trifecta its like holy **** out of the box and no warranty.

No unfortuantely Im 35 and a father of 4 and If i get a traffic ticket for reckless driving I get put on restriction (have to sleep in the barracks and can't see the wife) So I have learned to tone it down a bunch. However 5 years ago!!! WOT FTW!!!

That's exactly what I feel. I will more than likely be getting rid of the car in 12 months or less so, to me, more aggressive tunes and the risk of ruiniing something and having to put more money into a car I don't really plan on keeping that long kind of doesn't make sense. So a mild tune with bolt ons and a 2-yr powertrain pretty much sold me. All I want is consistent 13s and this tune should EASILY put me there.

You have to have the Easy Update Software and the Programmer to see all the available tunes. I already downloaded the Easy Update App and it just sits there waiting for the USB cable from the Programmer to be plugged in..so now I just wait till it comes this week.

Anyway you guys with the programmer, can post up tune parameters of each available tune? Or is that a bit too much to ask?

Im not stepping on any toes just here with some info per Vince. He said with a bone stock SS/TC they reached 301whp in the winter and once it got hot outside it dropped to 281whp. So given the conditions and the fact it's only like 10hp lower I think thats pretty good for a canned tune. I'm anxious to see what the results are next time.

Good info! Yeah weather conditions can make or break your dyno numbers.

I have to get used to the personalities on this site vs my fbody site. Not to many people over there say, "im happy with what she made, I can drive it on the street.".......it would be more like, where the f is my power!

Anyway, I like the numbers he put down and gets to keep the tuner. I would like to see a little more horses and some track times before I drop $400 though

Well mine should be here Wednesday and if the weather is clear on Friday...I'll be at the track with it for sure. Hopefully it comes early and gets here Tuesday so I can hit up the track the same day!!
