taking your car to a dealership with careless dp

I have had troubles with my turbo solinoid, and have finally gotten tired of messing around with it. If I take my car to a dealership with no cat, are they likely to give me grief about it?

If they get under it, probably. If not you should be good.

Put your stock car on. They can and will possibly void your warranty for it. if your not doing a warranty claim then don't worry about it

They wouldn't turn me down for service, or worse report my car for missing cats would they? I would just put the cats back on, but I bought the car with no cats.

If you're that worried about it, put a cat on. Or, do your own work.

Do you still have warranty left?

It all depends some dealerships will blame the turbo solenoid on the catless dp, some wont care, some dont know what a catless downpipe is.

Moral of the story if your that worried get a catted dp or weld one in

my dealer told me when I brought mine in that way to put it back on and not mess with it or it will void warranty. id put it back on, or get a new solenoid and change it urself.

I would never put a careless downpipe on my car. Sounds dangerous.

Rule of Thumb when going to dealer for any service:

1) Take off the front wheels and clean the **** out of the wheel-wells, removing all burned rubber.
2) Remove all drag-strip time-slips from glove compartment.
3) Remove HPTuners cable from OBD port.
4) Go back to stock tune or stock ECM.
5) Remove all aftermarket parts and put your OEM parts back on. Yes, I mean ALL.

SSlobalt’s got it. I worked for a Chrysler dealership for several years. You don’t want any indication the car has been abused or leave aftermarket parts on the car. Tech’s will look to blame aftermarket parts as warranty work pays almost nothing.
