Those type of burnout's shouldn't be called anything but torture test's . Burnout's are the best when the car is moving and shifting ..... without using the Ebrake or powerbraking it.

I'm sure it's not the best thing to do but if you want to do it then I say do it. You won't be the first and definitely won't be the last.
On a side note did you cut out a piece from the front bumper?

Shifting while trying to do a "burnout" is a good way to nuke a transmission. The SRT-4 doing it is the safe way.

As long as you trust your parking brake to hold the rear perfectly, just side step the clutch in 2nd high enough on a set of shitty tires, they'll pop loose. Or put a line lock for the rear.

I voted 10 because it is completely pointless. It's you're car though. Abuse it as you please! haha

The SRT was on water. Like a burn out box at the track. Really not that bad for the car...the tires, on the other hand, are going to get kcuffed

never done a burnout like that myself but my buddy who is a vw guy has done countless tire shredding burnouts with his cars. Usually not his daily drive but the cars would last for awhile from harsh abuse lol

That burnout was not weak sauce i was their and you don't need a lot of smoke to be a good burnout. To all of you people that said it was i like to see your car do that with no brake. It was literally almost 1/8 mile long could barely see the car and it was still spinning at 60mph. Any tool bag can sit in one spot with the brake on..

Yep. I could do the ebrake burnouts in my 5 speed, 1984, 1.5 liter, Mazda GLC by dumping the clutch. Not hard to do and not a lot of power needed.

That said... I did it in an auto once where It fucked the tranny 'cause it foamed up the fluid.

Burnouts are only cool with rear wheel drive or all wheel drive. The only thing you prove with a car like a Cobalt is that you're good at offloading your front tires! Unless you're standing in a bleach box with the e-brake on, just say no!

Its like those days where I'd make my non-posi Camaro light up one rear tire - not cool.
