Haven't posted or been on here in awhile.. Figured I would post up a little info of the new turbo setup going on this Sunday. 08 stock motor going with a Hahn turbo manifold and vband elbow and downpipe with a big td06 20g. Will also be tuning to e47. Hoping for 400-430whp.

 

Advice, stay away from the 20G because of surge issues. ZFR and an upgraded tranny are your best bets.

 

I'm not getting the Hahn 20g. This one has bigger bigger wheels. Trying something new. Not a fan of the zfr. Going bigger for slightly slower spool to not strain the higher mileage internals so much

Surging won't be an issue due to him running a Hahn manifold, surging comes from using the stock manifold and adapter.

 

Thanks for your input Shortbus. Every hour is going by so slow waiting for Sundays install. I will be sure to post up some pics and hopefully a vid or 2 after tuning is completed

 

True, that should most likely help or solve the issue, it was hahns adapters that mostly contribute to the surging, along with other things. And those aren't opinions, those are facts what was stated in my review thread from other well known people's research.

All true facts, they also need to step up on customer service it doesn't exist.

 

According to my tuner should be 400-430 on e47 22-23lbs

I'm guessing James is building this for you? If so, great choice in builder and tuner, he's one of the best IMO.

 

Yes, James is helping me. We have become pretty good friends the past few years and luckily he only lives about 2.5-3hrs from me. I will try to get quite a few pics during swap

 

Well started to do some minor tear down and touch up the valve cover so its more presentable. Paint was flaking off.
