About to get tuned!
About to get tuned!
Hi guys / gals. I'm new to this forum as a poster but have been a lurker for some time. Anyway, if everything goes as planned, I will get my tc dyno tuned this Saturday. I saw some threads here about tuned cars durability, but most only have a few thousands miles and I'm wondering if anyone has been tuned for, let's say, 10-20k miles?
BTW, I don't have a second ecm and won't be getting one, if I mod my car and break it, I will pay for it, so this why I am wondering about long term reliability of the lnf.

I have been tuned for a year in about a week.
No issues whatsoever due to being tuned, just change your plugs every other oil change

I created a thread a while ago that was made just for this very reason. Basically consisted of 1.Kind of tune. 2. Aggressiveness of tune. 3. Aggressiveness of driving. 4. Duration of tune. 5. Problems since being tuned. I believe the thread was an epic fail (as alot of thread tends to become), I cant quite remember, but there may be some useful information in it. Might have to search for it.
As far as input on it from first hand experience...I haven't a clue. I would say as long as you don't overboost, jack any of your tables up, and dont beat the **** out of your car, then you should be okay.

You bet that I am paranoid!
The car should be tuned this week-end, if I don't end up paying for the damn rotor and pads tomorrow. I'm going at the dealer for my brakes, this is the second time that both my front and rear rotors are completely done.
