All Hanh?
All Hanh?
Hey guys, I've been doing a little research for some mods to my 2009 'Balt SS/TC and I'm really liking what I'm seeing over at Hanh...
-Intercooler
-Intake
-Charge pipes
-DP
-Cat back
Was looking at a Trifecta tune as well. With a Forge BPV in there somewhere.
Thoughts on this setup? Suggestions? First car I'm actually considering spending considerable amounts of money on.

Don't waste your money on hahn. I would suggest KN SRI, and any other downpipe that's just expensive. The only thing I would consider is their charge pipes... maybe. Treadstone has a nice kit, and ZZP is right up there too.
Dont buy their charge pipes or intake its not made of aluminum or stainless. It will rust, i have the intake (switching to K&N) and the upper charge pipe, (lower changed to treadstone) the lower ic pipe was rusting pretty bad inside, had to spray with galvanizer, the intake also. and with the cold air intake u will get water in ur system so those pipes will rust. so dont get their pipes.
What about these guys talking about rust? I work with my dad occasionally (Cryogenic Freezer manufacturer/ refurbish-er) and see the differences between stainless and other metals all the time. Oxidation is a HUGE no-no for me. :|
Are you suggesting SRI to avoid water on the filter?
he probably hasnt taken off his pipes to see it yet. i didnt know about it till a year later when i took off my lower charge pipe to weld a bung in. i was shocked.
Disclaimer...
I've never owned Hahn ANYTHING, but I've bought/traded all my parts for my car based on reviews from others and results/gains from the companys/customers, Nothing Hahn's produced has made me want to spend the extra money for what they have over others(I DID try to buy their exhaust last year during Tax season, but hey... I was ballin
)
Best quality thing I've seen from Hahn was the exhaust, I think it sounded better than all the mainstream manufacturers out there now.. It's now discontinued cuz "there wasn't enough interest from the Cobalt community" per Hahn.. Mostly cuz it ran like ~$800+.. where you can get the muffler welded on to a 3" pipe for like $150ish..
Everything else, from the Intake(rubbing AC line, same as Injen but more?), Intercooler(busting, horrible welds), Turbo Kit, downpipe, etc..... Everything was as good if not worse than everybody elses stuff, but usually a couple hundred dollars more than all competitors...

I'm happy with all my Hahn stuff.
Also, if you make a buy like that and pay retail, it's your own damned fault.
Remember, the vast majority on this forum are pretty cheap. It's not a dig, it's just a fact.
