Do you have to remove the intake mani to get the fuel rail off?

**** ME RUNNING. Last year I had a seal fail on me on #1 and today while driving the machine gun fire started up again. Last time I was running E47 and about 2 months ago I switched to Full E. When they replaced the seals last time I'm guessing they used the stock white ones again.

Well looks like I'm going to have to order some viton seals and the tool. Is the tool still on eBay? What is the part again. I need this done pronto. Thanks in advance.

**** yea, for that price I'm down. I bought the Viton seals kit from CED already and Special tool for $130(Pulling hair out) so I'll fix everything up just fine but having a spare of one of these would be nice. Keep me posted. Thanks

I ordered everything to simply replace the seals yesterday. Total came out to $180 of which $130 were for the special tool, the seals kit I got from CED was only $35. I also have a spare injector just in case I need to replace one.

Well I'm going to check all my pipes and make sure no boost leaks are present. Then I'm going to check the seals. What's this high pressure tube?

Bringing this thread back, I understand that people have created threads about it, talking about the benfits and members like Mongorat helping people out by selling Fuel Rails with the Viton seals. Now, I see the parts listed here which I got and all but I would also like it if someone could explain how these seals go on using the GM parts tool needed(got that as well). I currently have the viton seals in but I'm tearing down my engine out of the car and installing Pistons & Rods, head etc and will need to re-install new seals once I start putting back the engine. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Helpful info:

Fuel - E85 since 44000 miles
Tune - HPT by CCSS3, 25psi since 44000 miles, GMS1 since new.

No, I'd rather blame it on my tuner.

So what I'm getting at out of this is the 2010 SS seals are better and the Viton ones are best? I plan on replacing my seals and head gasket this winter when the car is stored

The 2010 are the best. They are E85 compatible. They are the new style which so far no one has burned out. You can either buy the tool to install the seals along with new seals and install them on your current injectors or buy a whole new 2010 rail with the seals preinstalled.
