Maybe he took my advice the wrong way when I told him about hg failure running big turbos at high boost on the lnf. Its mainly a concern for ungirdled blocks Cobe. The girdle really helps the headgasket seal much better.

Im getting loud popping at about 5800rpms at WOT.

09, stock plugs, stock gap, but not running e85. 65k miles. Trifecta 23 psi tune. ZZP Catless dp, KN SRI.

Would that be a symptom of this or more towards spark blowout?

If it sounds like this, it's probably an injector seal.

E85 has been theorized to attack the white seals in the '08 and '09 cars.

Hmm ok. Did some test driving around today with it. I think I just have a slow tach in first gear

The tachs on these cars is indeed slow. Many a new owner have hit the rev limiter and blamed it on something else. The best thing to do is log.

bumping old thread. im having backfire like a gun at higher boost or at over 5k rpm, is this what happens when injector seal goes? also when it happens I get misfire in cylinder 2. this only started happening when I installed zfr. even on low boost it did it at 5k rpm. I don't see it at anything less then 20 psi. or less than 5k rpm. didn't have this issue with k04
