Any1 Notice This?

When i have my car in neutral rolling down the road, i rev it a little and the tach drops down slower than if you have it in gear with the clutch in... it's weird lol, is it normal? nun of my other cars did this...
I noticed it about two weeks ago but i was just like well maybe my foot was still on the gas a little but i did it last night and figured out that the car actually does this...

interesting... why would it do that? if your driving and you pull it out of gear (with out the clutch in) with your foot on the gas just a tad (falls right out) it stays revd for at least a second... hmm.

are you saying the RPM's drop REALLY slow after pushing the clutch in at high rpm's?

hm. not as high rpms... like 3k... it's prolly less noticeable at high rpms...
and i wouldn't say really slow... when you push the clutch they fall as normal... but if your rolling say 30 and have the shifter neutral position and rev it a little to 3k it falls off slower...
if your rolling 30 and have it in second or third or w/e and have the clutch in it falls as normal or really close to normal.

Dont quote me on this but I think this is a feature in performance cars. This keeps rpms up when shifting through the gears. My friend had his evo tuned and the tuner programmed this in his ecu. Its actually a pretty cool feature.

It's an emissions thing, if the rps drop too quick it will let unburnt gas out the tailpipe.
