Pointless without a tune! Also anything over 22psi and your overworking the turbo! That mother will heat up big time

u wont lean it out to a point of hurting it and u can put a controller in there and when u punch it the boost will spike to what u got it set at then will quickly drop down to stock if it doesnt over boost and go into limp mode

why not spend your money on something that will actually help your car like a turbo back exhaust and a tune?

i don't think you understand us do you know anything bout your car yet.... any....ANY modifications and the ecu will "learn" what you did and tune the car DOWN so you will only be 260hp and 260lbs of tq the car can safely boost 22lbs..... but without a tune the learn feature will spit in your face and make you slo

Won't matter unless you're tuned. The computer will eventually lower the boost back down to only make 260hp. You will have great results for a couple days or so untill the ecu realizes it's overboosting.

Edit: Damn you guys are fast lol

u can get a tune as cheap as 250 from terifica and gain up to anywhere 290-300hp and 320-330tq based on mods and **** but dont waiste the money on a controller

If you realy want to put one in and find out for yourself you tap into the waistgate actuator pressure hose. Its a tiny black hose. Its located below the intake inlet on the turbo. easiest to get at if under car

hey man I can help ya out. I hate a manual boost controller for like 4 months on my car but just took it off because i am getting tuned this week. Let me get some pics for ya. I will explain in detail. People say "oh the learn down feature lets it not work" and all that crap but when I had mine on my car was a lot faster and I broke loose in second gear when punching it. For me it didn't just spike to 20 psi, it help until like 5000 RPM. Anyone let me get you some pics man. Just ask me if you have any questions.

ok here is a close up of the hose you have to tap into for this to work. Many people do this wrong because they don't use this line

here is a further away picture of the line. It is the black rubber hose you see in the first pic.

here is where I installed the manual boost controller

ok well that;s all the pics i have. This hose is right underneath the turbo. Just jack up the car, get underneath it, and you will find it. Let me know if you have any questions

The stock tune in these cars is very lean to begin with. Running higher than factory boost will almost certainly be very bad for the motor. My car had 3-4* of knock for 3 seconds at WOT stock with 93 octane fuel. You will get more power out of a MBC, but unless you adjust the fueling you are asking for disaster.

or you can get a Trifecta tune. They send the tuner to you with the tune installed on the tuner and it's very cheap. Only $250

i believe it is like 301 whp and 333 wtq. It is sold by Clear Image Automotive. Yes it can be tuned back to factory but you have to get the tuner again
