Curious on the long term fuel trim skew, cold start surging, any info you may have.

Cobalt SS/TC only please.

Thanks!

Check with Tofu. He had one for a while and got rid of it because of the issues. He's probably got logs and everything if you're interested.

He lost HP overall and gained a small amount of peak torque, but lost it everywhere else along his powerband if I remember right.

Stamina's info is right.

LTFT's were off between -5 and -10 values after 30 min logs at steady speeds on the highway. MAF lb/min and VE lb/min increased fairly substantially according to the logs, but the dyno told a different story.....

On the dyno, even after calibrating the fuel trims, I lost upwards of 20+ wtq throughout almost the entire powerband, and even loss horsepower below 4k RPM. Peak horsepower increased by around 10whp. Three runs were made, each with about a 20 min cool down period with the fan on. First time was with the fuel trims untouched, second and third was the MAF calibrated and fuel trims in line...It was all consistant in results.

I returned it.

Thank you for sharing the valuable info. Saved me a few hundred on another experiment.

Looks like I'll go back to the modded air box with winter approaching, getting quite a bit of cold surge/ crying bpv with the AEM on colder mornings during warmup mode.

I guess I have been pretty fortunate... No real issues to report with my surging issues. Even when I had my "makeshift" short ram on there.... besides the -20% LTFTs

with the hahn intake is it the same results? or just no power gains?.. i'm not looking for power loss..but if it's at least maintaining power that's fine.
