Thumbs up Back in the Saddle

So i have been MIA for a while, I got Laid off a couple of months back. But i recovered quickly and have been working my new job for about a month now. Funds are flowing back in.

So, You guys are in for a story about my night last night. Once i get the videos loaded.

Anyway. Im starting back up on my ZFR Build very soon. and have lots of questions.

So it looks the the stock Clutch cant handle anything the ZFR puts out.. and from what i reading neither car the Trans...anything i should be wary of?

Im ordering the pig tails for the 3 bar, and also the GMPP fro CED.

I Have EVERY bolt on for this car right now. is there any recommendations for addtional stuff with the ZFR? I heard Boost ramp was a great idea with it. any Advice would be great.

And is anyone running a e85/93 Mix in there LNF's?

thanks guys.

Boost ramp was a must for me because of traction and drivablilty in the canyons. And to play it safe with my tranny and for the fuel to catch up. The turbo spools too fast so that fueling can be an issue at lower rpm because it's chain driven. I was running e85/91 which is pretty much the same as your 93 if we're mixing. It's an e47 blend and was amazing. Highly recomend it but you will max out your fueling systems before the turbo is maxed out. Just make sure to be at high rpm when going WOT. Don't do high gear low rpm wot, that's what kills the tranny. Low end torque is the killer and the ZFR has a lot.

So pretty Like i Drive now, Downshift before WOT? I usually dont go Wot in high gears with Low rpms.

Do you think the Clutch is a absolute must?

I will probably go straight 93 for now. until i get just to everything. Thanks again.

This. get the GMPP clutch. There seems to be a correlation between higher load bearing clutches and transmission failures.

Yes, try to be at the highest rpm in the lowest gear etc. Yea clutch is a must with ZFR, so much low end torque it will need it. It will take a while to adjust to the ZFR after 93 you'll get bored then go e47.

I have a KY-stg 3 clutch and it is holding fine. I dont have any boost ramping on my tune, but i do have a dual tune which helps me alot. Look at my Dyno sheet to see what i made. Lots of low end torque.

mind you.. driving normal on regular tune blows 285/285 .. not that same as 410/377
