CPS relearn?

My car was throwing a p0338 "crankshaft position sensor" every blue moon. Mostly happened upon starting up in the morning with a cold engine. Clearing it would make it disappear for days or weeks.
On Saturday I replaced the CPS and now the code comes up constantly. I read somewhere that the LNF has an automatic relearn for the CPS. Is this true? And if yes, any ideas what could be causing the code to get worse?

idk about an automatic relearn but we do them with our scannner(not your average parts store scanner).

I don't have any driveability issues, just the code. That's why I think it just needs a relearn. Or a slap in the face lol
