Question ballAr stock injectors???

All of the modification threads I have read , say nothing about swapping the stock injectors. Are people getting these good number on the stockers?

Can someone post some specs of them for me? And where the limit is approximately on them.

What is the Duty Cycle from the factory at? High/low imp? etc.

Thanks

Maybe someone that has tuned the engine can chime in, these injectors are high pressure and can't easily be swapped out to my knowledge. When I first was looking the static flow numbers of the injector was something stupid like 110-120+ lb/hr, if the static and dynamic don't change ridiculously we shouldn't be limited by them anytime soon.

I thought the fuel rail is what couldn't handle it not the injectors per se

My friend had a 35r speed 6. The only thing he had to get was a higher flowing fuel pump to keep up with the demands of the injectors.

That fuel pump must have been expensive...I wasn't aware that there were aftermarket DI cam driven fuel pumps.

Then again I have never really looked.

He is right even though it will read 30% it is actually almost double that because the injecter pulse is different than normal port injection. That is what I have heard anyway.

That's right

Hey now it's been awhile but its coming back

I know the original plan for the stage kit that is being released now came with a better fuel rail as well.

awesome, so for the regular port part of my brain , it would be safe to assume that the "idc" is around 57-60%?

The injectors are huge, probably around 120-130lbs ones, but they can only spray during the intake stroke. Once you start injecting fuel into the compression stroke you lose the effectiveness of direct injection and lose power. They seem to be good for 400whp or so.
IDC is between 25-30% depending on mods.

You know what i meant
Increasing the fuel pressure might give us a bit more headroom, but we don't have control of that yet.

The calculated IDC is 30%, but you cannot go to 100% on a DI motor, so the threshold is different. People that see 30% and assume they can run 3x the fuel and be safe, that is not the case here.
