Exclamation Battery dead after 2 cold nights of setting.

Yeah I went on a small 2 day vacation came back and tried to start the cobalt and guess what click click. Took it to the deal the battery had a bad cell. So they replaced it under warranty. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case its just more than mine. Supposedly it don't happen to all batteries just some. Since winter is coming i would recommend getting your battery tested!

I might have to go up to Autozone today...

I had this happen on my old 2.4L twice but it wasn't a problem after I started keeping it in the garage after the 2nd time.

When I first got my car the battery died while sitting for only 4-5 days all Spring (garage kept car). Had to keep slow charging it, got pretty old not being able to start the car when you want to drive it!

Hasn't dont it since I pulled the fuse on OnStar. I started it last night and it had been sitting for 3 weeks.

So if you don't use/like OnStar, try pulling the fuse and seeing if that helps you too.

Well the dealer warrantied it for me and gave me a new battery! I guess they cost somewhere around 120-130 bucks!

Hah from GM, but down at Wal-Mart its a standard top post battery.

Kinda on topic, but after letting my car sit 3 wks again it started right up last night Unplugging the OnStar system solved all my woes.

Mine would die overnight as in... nothing would even light up. (only during cold weather). Dealer replaced the battery under warranty.

Well i guess the reason why it cost so much is because its a sealed battery. On the other hand if i had to buy one it would be a Optima yellow or red top!
