Thumbs up blown tranny?

so its a 2008 lnf, im on the 5th clutch i put it in probably 5000 miles ago, anyways it shifts pretty crunchy into every gear n wen i let the clutch out i hear a winding noise, does it sound like a tranny issue or just have another broken clutch!? pray for me that its my clutch. ill have a answer in 2 hours wen hopefully pieces of the clutch hit me in the face lmao

Edit. Reading the post again. It's hard to tell since with the clutch not engaged you have a sound. Could be either

How have you went through 5 clutches? I am still on my original stock clutch from day one that the factory installed. And I'm tuned. I assume you must drive hard ? What kind if clutches have you used that have all failed so quickly ?

yep 5 of em its been outstanding n i had 3 oem clutches n 2 stage 4 clutchmasters but i been using the stock flywheel this whole time n just bought a aluminum zzp flywheel yesterday since there was a discount. the hub like breaks away from the center n it breaks the arms that hold the springs in place im assuming my flywheel may have been bent or warped or my input shaft on the tranny is bent if this one breaks im gonna assume my input shaft is bent

Through out all 5 of your clutches, have you ever changed the throw out bearing? I would be looking there to ensure it is engaging properly.

I can second that, I've snapped the factory one, 2 fx100 clutchmasters. I've never dumped mine or used the factory launch control or no lift shifting. The gentleman at zzp says the lnf turbos are hard on clutches due to the twin scroll turbo. I ended up putting zzp southbend stage 4 in and it's been 2 years. I think it's because my tune allows full boost so early. Every clutch disc I pulled out still looked brand new, even after 40k. Running 23 psi and full bolt ons. Been meaning to get to a decent tuner and get it redone

Might want to rename the title "blown trans" because blown tranny can mean other things now a days.
