Hey guys,

So, I'm helping out a friend with his new SS turbo. He has started doing this and that to it, and he wants to start doing go-fast goodies now. He's gonna Stage it and get the full intake and exhaust soon, however one of his big things (like most people) with a turbo, is a big blow off valve. What are the options that can be run on this car? I've never had a boosted car, or really ever even worked on one. So I have no clue. Are they universal or particular. We'd rather spend the cash and it run right, then get a cheap-o and it run like ass. And suggestions or help/links would be much appreciated.

the way to properly run it would be getting an upper charge pipe with a BOV flange(whichever make he wants, i suggest a Tial 50mm) and a maf relocate to the hot pipe. you shouldn't run the BOV with the maf still in the intake because you are blowing off metered air

 

Nice! So in order to run it you'll need to replace that piping for sure?

 

yes the hot side needs to be replaced no matter what. but if he does a maf relocate, it will have to be custom tuned for it
