22.5 psi is max and you can run that just fine all day long. people have been making 400 whp at 22.5 psi for a while with no trouble other than clutch eventually giving in.

I read somewhere that GM wrote, saying the engine will make 18 PSI if needed. So if thats correct than you really didn't do much. The whole going up to 18 PSI is all about maintaining 260 hp

Ive also heard 22-23 psi is safe limit, you can spike up more than that, but it MUST settle back to 22-23 psi. Me personally I would put it at 22 and leave it. Again just my opinion.

psykosteve, trifecta tunes, area 47, btf racing, there are lots of people who can get you settled out
i made my own tune at 22 psi maxing the turbo flow out at 32lbs/min and i have no knock and the cat temps stay under the protection limit. i do smell alot of tires though its fast after a tune you will def love.

The turbocharger generates maximum boost of 20 psi. Because direct injection cools the intake process compared to port injection, it allows the 2.0L Turbo to safely operate at higher boost and higher compression (9.2:1) than a conventional turbo engine, increasing both output and efficiency.

heres the link: http://media.gm.com/us/powertrain/en...tec/08_LNF.doc

this being stock of course

the lnf turbo can boost more than 23 psi we are just stopped by the pressure tables which end at 255kpa which happens to be 23psi thus after 3 sec of 23psi car runs like crap and throws codes. i can speak for all the tuners in saying, we are impatiently waiting for the cobalt edition of gm stage kit to be release end first quarter so we can make more pressure and hopefully open it up even more.

How did you increase the boost? If it wasn't with a tune un-do what you did, and get a tune.
