bov bop ...no boost what happened?

When I bought the car, the previouis owner put an aftermarket bov running with the stock one. So it sounded cool but the cel would come on and off. So I bought a bop. I was told it would remove cel and make bov even louder.the aftermarket bov sounds suspiciously unloud but much worst I'm not boosting. The car is not running right. What did I do wrong? Can I fix this or should I just go back to stock? Helps is appreciated. Thanks

BOP? i'm guessing you mean block off plate

I'd honestly take the BOV off .. it doesn't really help.. however if you WANT it on .. make sure your BOV is getting a proper vacuum line to it

Did you put the rubber diaphragm back in with the block off plate? You need that to seal it. If you didn't, you have a huge boost leak. You don't need the spring, you just need the diaphragm.

Ok so I'll just prolly go str8 stock bov. Will 23 psi be fine with a stock bov? I'm sure it will, I'm just looking for assurance

The diafram? Are u talking about the thimbel looking thing that was removed with the spring?
