It's the dejon cp with hks bov...I thought it only threw the cel sometimes because of the bpv being out of the equation now....and I thought the tune only deletes the code so it doesn't throw it

Your car shouldn't throw a CEL with the CP's & BOV. But if it does, have a scanner handy, & just see what it is throwing...
But to answer your question, a CEL means something is wrong. So, maybe.

mine threw a code saying that the bpv was stuck. it was "stuck" cause it wasn't being used. I had vince delete the code, then I ended up rerunning my vacuum lines so I'm using the bpv and bov now. I haven't had a single problem yet. and as for "rich spikes"...the lowest my afr dropped inbetween shifts was high to mid 13s....
