Backyard Turbo
New website is about to launch, couple of key things that have changed:
1. We will not be offering ANY remote tuning services any longer. Things go much smoother when we can see the car and check it out ourselves. Several people had car issues and refused to even look at what we suggested, just wastes times and nobody leaves happy.
2. You will have the option to come to us or have us come to you! That's right, travel tuning is coming back!!
3. You can also meet at our preferred dyno shop in Pottstown, PA and get a road and dyno tune all in the same day!
4. Our parts lineup will be offered for sale online in Spring as planned. We will also be offering projects again that can be completed in a weekend. So clutches, suspension, exhausts, charge pipes, intakes and very possibly Turbo Kits again!!

We appreciate all of our loyal customers and are going to be getting back on track with even better services and products still!

I made the drive to KY for a tune from James....granted I was on my way to FL anyways, but I couldn't be happier. When BYT doesn't return calls or emails, they obviously don't want my business, it's a shame becasue they were only about a 1/2 hour from where I used to live in Scranton.

Moral of story, drive to James or let him remote tune you, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED...

Anyone who does not understand what happened to Nick and what is happening all over this forum needs to watch the NBC's The Office Episode called "Broke".

An no. Nick is not the one that went broke!

In the end...glad I went Trifecta. If I end up switching back to HPT...I'll probably go through ZZP...solely because they've been around for a looong time and this kind of sh*t shouldn't happen.

Nothing against CCSS3...I know you're tuning is stellar...but seeing multiple CSS.net tuners fall off earth and basically just leave their current customers pissing in the wind has left me with a sour taste in my mouth and I'm now more interested in big name companies and customer service than ever when it comes to my car and the aftermarket.

^^^ lol.... It's fine.... Byt nick worked in his garage mainly till he got his shop. i had one a few years back but lost it because of basically ( what I charged) I wasn't making a lot after all was said and.done. but also personal matters. But I never fell off the face of the earth....

Not only have I been looking for a new shop, but coming this April I am hoping to get a new house, and build the shop on the land by the end of the year unless we find one with a nice shop.

Not only am I known here, but I'm also known around ky, for not just tuning gms, but other cars.. I also work for dealerships on there trouble cars, or there.auction fancy pancy cars...

Not only do I have several ways to get ahold of me. But if you ask any one I have dealt with. I even answer my phone 24/7 and if I dont I get back to you very quickly.......

I know we like to go at it but I do not mean this as an insult.

The same thing that happened to Nick is going to happen to you if you open your own shop. Your expenses are so low right now that you can afford to "help" people out by only charging $150 for tuning. Honestly, I think it is cool that you have been "helping" out this community by putting more fast ecotecs on the road. Most of your customers are extremely happy with your work. And for that I will give you a

But you have also created a bad situation for yourself and this forums' tuners and vendors. You have set the price line way too low. You have pushed out other vendors and tuners and created a large customer base that you can no longer maintain in your current environment. That is why you need your own shop. But once you open your own place, you will need to raise your prices in order to pay for your new expenses and you will need to pay for vendors fees which you have been dodging for years.

Then you are going to come on this forum and complain when the next ZachCobalt06 or chevycobaltss3 comes along selling tunes for dirt cheap and stealing your customers. (You are a way better tuner then Zach, I was not comparing skill. Just price.)

Again, I am not ripping or insulting you by any means. I am just giving you some basic economics that you should take into consideration before you continue down your path.

I completly understand ....... I used to have a shop which I stated previously. The supporting vendor part is somthing I looked into. But since I am not promoting I don't see a true point. I am .it on the site to make money, im here to help which is what I always offer. I've been called at 4-6 in the morning for peoples questions or concerns about there cars or how to do somthing and ect.

Prices on my tunes vary, of course there is a set price but I don't live life off stealing from others. I have worked for a few reputable tuning shops and have seen the.customer leave happy but upset he or she had to spend 300+ on a tune.. so with the less cost someone spends they leave way happier and have excess money for say there family. I'm all about family.....

But I do honestly see your point Eric......

Um opening your own shop doesnt mean youll go under, mine is new and were doing just fine. Nick never opened a shop so im not sure where you guys got that from. He never made the jump, decided he wasnt interested in that route with all the mayhem he was goin through. Go for it chevycobaltss3 dont let anyone tell you it cant be done.

Lol, DO IT. I'll pay well. A whole hell of a lot better than driving to BYT or ZZP in Michigan.
