Charge Pipes - Worth It? If so, which is the best one?

well, its probably gonna be the injen with upgraded couplers from modern performance.
which charge-pipes hit the hood? i hear some have clearence issues, and rub the hood.

I highly recommend the Dejon Charge pipes. Both lower and upper. DEJON | Powerhouse
Fit great, no rubbing, choose many different colors. Love mine!

I got the turboxs (which is probably still on sale at TTR) and I like it a lot. Went on super easy, quality was good. Only issue was it came one clamp short. Glad for friends. I didn't count before I took the stock stuff apart, doh!
Yup best price and BEST quality hands down...
From what I've read I like Injen, I just bought mine this weekend, putting it on this week. I like the direct route it takes for air flow and the extra step to do any maintenance it might interfere with isnt a big bother to me. Just personal preference like others have said. Id stay away from Hahn chargepipes and intakes, unless you prep them so they dont rust, I heard of a way to do it, but havent looked much into it. I prolly should since I have a Hahn intake, lol.
My Hahn pipes are rust free after 2 canadian winters so I don't know what you guys are talking about. that being said, they were a PITA to fit and longest run of them all. ZZP require you to cut your stock pipes so there is no option to return to stock later if you go that route. The Injens look easier to install but the Clear Image Auto pipes are probably the best (short run, minimal bends and clamps) but not being produced anymore, The Turbo XS seem to be a copy of the CIA so i'd look into them first followed by Injen.
Do they make more power? Yes, but for the price of any of them it's not really a lot unless you are getting tuned for maximum power. If you are cost sensitive just get a K&N filter, do the airbox mod, and get a Trifecta tune.

I've been sucked in for that twice, ahaha.
We offer replacement silicone couplers on the product drop-down menus. Even if you choose to use your original couplers, you can easily put them back on the stock charge tubes if you decide to go back to those. Clamps hold them on the stock tubes just the same.

Glad you clarified that. I gotta say, when I read that post above, that you have to cut your stock stuff up to use ZZP pipes I was like....

Good morning everyone. I am looking for some more power without voiding my warranty. I have the GMS1 and wanted to start modding some more. Not sure where to start with these cars. I am familiar with turbo cars. I previously had a 2002.5 VW GTI 1.8T with over 300whp. Looking to make this one faster but dont know where to start. There were so many more tried and true choices with VW, not sure where to start here.
If I upgraded to a new turbo down the road will I be throwing money away if I buy the charge pipes? Will I be able to use them or not?
Thanks,
David
