Not being mounted also means the pipes as a whole are more flexible and can distribute engine movements through the system instead of placing all the motion on the intercooler coupling. Only real issue with my Hahn pipes was the little dent they put on the bottom of my hood, they could be a little shorter. Took some trial and error to get them fitted right.

A dent in my hood would be a deal-breaker.

if its installed right this shouldnt happen. ive done about 5 sets.... ive yet to ahve one ever come back because of the upper pipe blowing off.
