and they do break, your talking about lots o heat, and moisture.
not a single wrx dp had flex pipes, i mean i could understand if there is a big turn to make, but im pretty sure that isnt the case
hopefully someone designs one without the flex

the stock has a flex section, the engine can move up to 6 inches, it needs a flex
Our down-pipe will be made with a flex pipe. But we will be using an interlocking style which is much stronger than the standard type pictured above. Also, the flex section needs to be directly after the turbo flange. That hi-flow converter has been available for years. We have been using them exclusively for all of our converter applications since 2004. It is a full metallic substrate converter. with 400 cell they are rated to 590 cfm with 4" in and out. Our 3" down-pipe we tested last week flows 400 cfm compared to the factory 299.
Also, for those prefering no flex section, we will accomodate. But we will offer no warranty if welds crack.
Also, we have a local WRX customer who visits us at least once per month for modifications or repairs to other companies down-pipes, both with and without flex sections.

From above:
Final price for the down-pipe:
"off-road" (catless) in aluminized steel tubing and steel flanges - $175.00
Same thing with 304 stainless tubing and flanges - $250.00.
Hi-flow converter with aluminized steel tubing and steel flanges - $298.55
Same thing with 304 stainless tubing and flanges - $375.00
For the quality, materials, fit & finish and increase in HP, I doubt anyone can touch our prices.
Call to order: (425)251-0329.
Converter cores are on order, should see them mid next week.
Thanks everyone.
CHROMEX ceramic coating is available but not chrome. The ceramic would add $100.00to the price of the boost tubing. No aluminum at this time. We can offer the charge piping and intake in 304 stainless and you can have it mirror polished. I should have stainless first thing in the morning.
No problem running the stock down-pipe and stock exhaust with the tune, cold air and boost tubing.

As I have posted several times within this thread, I will NOT post pictures of the R&D down-pipe. I am waiting for flanges to build a production down-pipe. Pictures seem to be more important than any other information on this forum and I don't want members to read 1/2 the description of a picture of a pre=production pipe and think that's what we are offering. I'm hoping to have flanges by the end of next week.
For those of you interested in O2 simms, our supplier is not interested in producing them, but he did find this source. NO affiliation with Clear Image Automotive in any way, shape or form:

Or are you wanting to know if there will be an Offical PAckage? My suggestion is to just contact them and see if something can be worked out
hey dan so when we order the tune does the GT tuner come with the tune already loaded on it or do we gotta scan our car with it and send it back then u sent it back with the tune loaded?
They Ship you the GT Tuner loaded with the tune already on there i believe. and you send the GT tuner back. If you want fine tunning i believe you can upload it on your laptop and send changes.
But to my knowledge.
They send you the GT tuner with the tune already on there and you load it.
You send in the money...
