So I was out at a car meet last night and I was doing a Dig run against somebody and I went to do my burn out could not get the tires to smoke at all. My buddy has a SS/SC completely stock and he roasted the tires pretty good. My RPM's shot up after I dumped the clutch and I heard a little bit of tire squeal but nothing like my buddy's SC. I tried this morning to do a burn out at a private lot and I'm still not spinning very much. I'm thinking it's a clutch and if so what clutch should I go with. Traction control was off.... lol

My mod: Badmab catlless DP, Dejon intake and CP with HKS BOV, muffler delete, TR8 IC and HP tuned at 23psi

 

Maybe you don't have LSD and he does. He was probably ripping two tires while you were ripping one?

 

I don't have an LSD but I should still be burning one tire up

 

Any other thoughts???

not bad, is the car stock? and do u beat on it? your best bet is post a video of the rpms, and when u tryed the burnout did the speedo gauge move?

 

Mods are above and it's raining so I can't get a vid today. And I honestly don't remember if the speedo moved but I wanna say no

 

duuhh lol, yeah get a vid, if not pay attention to the speedo, if it dosent move like it should shes toast, 70k seems a lil low, i would of thought aorund 100k she woulda went

 

put her in 5th gear at low rpms and see if she slips.

 

That guy doing the video is an idiot too for walking in front of the car while he is doing the burnout. Don't want to take that chance.

My clutch blew at 40k. Been running the LSJ upgrade AKA GMPP for the last 2k with no issues. Basically same mods as OP.

 

Really not much point in a burnout. Just clean the tires, don't burnout. Unless of course you're running slicks. Try turning off esc too by holding the traction control button and doing it. I have rolled my stock clutch before just dicking off with no one around. It was still fine afterwards. Held fine with my later trifecta tune. Also use water...have a gallon of water handy and make a really wet spot for both tires to be in. Otherwise you're gonna break something or destroy another clutch if your stock one is bad.
