coupler size at turbo inlet

I have the shitty Dejon intake, and my coupler is always slipping off. Its a 3" coupler, but the inlet on the turbo is smaller. the intake comes with a smaller diameter "chunk" of coupler to which fits under the 3" one to fit a tight fit at the inlet. Anyways through engine movement it slides off. I want to get a reducer and was hoping someone knew if the inlet is 2.75" or 2.5". thanks

bumpy

A 2.5" coupler is a snug fit on the turbo.

i have the same problem as you. when we made my custom CAI we measured the inlet on the turbo its 2.3 so a 2.5 in coupler will be fine. im looking for a 90 degree elbow from a 3in to a 2.5in does anybody know where to find any?

When I had my dejon I took the little piece out and just tightened down the coupler on the turbo. Then after I drove it for a bit retightened it and it was all good. When I took the intake off it looked like it was formed that way.

imma give that a try. Just looks like it would make the coupler bind being squeezed that much.

cmiller, i took your advice, and it looks like it will do. Saves me $30+ of having to get a multi ply quality reducing coupler. thanks
