ok so right now what im goin to do based off the first post is reconnect both. So i want to drill a hole into the intake itself and attach a barb fittin onto the end of the line then drill a while into the intake to screw that barb into probably wrapping the end with some teflon tape or electrical tape correct?

Also where would i get a barb only barbs i can find are used for vacuum lines. Would i be able to just connect a vacuum line to the steel hose and do that?

Any hardware/hydraulic store should have them, even home depot.

ok thats the barb i found wasnt sure if it was just for vacuum...Now im thinkin about attaching a piece of vacuum line to the end of the braided line then connecting that to the intake barb. Would this basically be the same idea? Just thinkin it would hold on better than the braided hose

I guess if the steel braided hose isn't long enough then ya you'll need to extend it with another vacuum line and double sided barb fitting.

Just make sure the bard has a pretty decent inside diameter. I would say at least 1/4-3-8"
