Custom LNF ECM- What Features Should Be Added?

We are investing in a custom base file for LNF Cobalts. Customers will still be able to tune with HP Tuners. Some of the things that will be added so far include:

Raising the cam control limts to 9000rpm. The factory limit of 7400rpm is way too low for people running large turbos, especially with our cams.

5th injector control. Yes, we might be able to use the ECM and program in the 5th injector tuning. This will allow infinite tuning of the 5th injector if it pans out.

Anti-lag timing table. This would allow us to spool large turbos while staging at the dragstrip without requiring any additional modules to be installed.

I am starting this thread to see how much interest there is in a modification like this as well as what other alterations or additions you guys would like to see. So, lets hear it...

Sounds like some good things. You know theres a few of us now that could use the timing tables. Not sure on the antilag deal, how much boost is built at the line, I can cut 1.70's all day with the wot box and only about 6-8 psi and it keeps the shock on the driveline down at the same time. Everything else is awesome, being able to tune the 5th injector by boost and or rpms is a good thing.

ECM and Fuse Block mount in the Glove Compartment! sorry, I know it has nothing to do with the actual tuning :/

I use timing retard to get the turbo spooled at the line as it is, but the control is not great. Plus, using the tables that are available sometimes results in timing retard during the burnout. Because of the low load, it hits the als cells. With the revised tables, that would be fixed.

I saw as much as 19psi staged with the s262 turbo that otherwise doesn't spool until about a day and a half after you hit a million rpms.

So would this be something we can view in table form via hptuners (like the 5th injector contols and such you mentioned) or is it a custom os that would have to be preset by you guys ahead of time? Either way, I would love to see some sort of dynamic limiter to tune the ve tables somehow, specifically at idle to maybe 2.5k-ish. Maybe even limiter controls like you would find in an e67 for fuel/spark/throttle cut controls.

can't you tune in some antilag just regularly with hpt? have someone on a wot-box and play with launch rpm then retard timing and whatever else is needed to dump fuel?

i know the adjustable neutral limit can be used as a bandaid launch control, but building some real boost would be awesome. 60' s out the ass on a ko4 building boost on the line

EDIT: nvm just saw you posted as i wrote that.

Launch control rpm change? is that in HPT yet? I've been out of this for a year or more so I haven't kept up.

not to throw you off topic but what about a custom LSJ computer? higher rev limit and higher maf readings, or better yet a speed density set up. i would buy that from you faster then i could type my credit card info in lol

Yes, you would be able to adjust the 5th injector control.
I'm not sure on the VE. That seems like it would add a lot of complexity.

How about ETC scaling, ultra lean burn capabilities and knock sensor scaling/decay rates

Did you run an AFC? We used MAF fueling on Ryan's LSJ all the way to 900whp.

what size IC piping are you running, You can manipulate the MAF reading by going to larger IC piping in the MAF area, used to do that a lot in the DSM world

Here is my wish list:

Smart NLS

Selectable Launch Control

Boost During Launch

Selectable Tunes

Ghost Cam

More visable tables that I know are in the tunes

And a feature I know for a fact the Bosch ECU can do, Rev matched down shifts... not that I need help... but it would make us cool like the 370Z guys

--Christian

And for myself, a output trigger for my PLC
