Daily Driven E85/93 Octane Mix

Can this be achieved without any long term damage to gaskets and seals? I have 3 E85 pumps within 10 miles of me and want to run 50% E85/ 50% 93 Octane.

Does any one think this will be ok for a year straight at least?

I am going take about 5.5 gallons of E85 when I get retuned and mix it with a half tank of 93 then put it straight on the Dyno.

6.6 gals is half a tank, been running the 1:1 blend & higher up to E85 since last summer, prob ~10k miles. I was the first guy to post about trying this in an LNF, might not have been the first overall, but made it public knowledge we can. A long couple of threads on the HPTuners forum I started.

Lost an injector seal in the head (literally). It was never there, no pieces or remnants found. I don't think it was E85 related. Compression was always lower on #3 until I replaced that injector. It finally lost the fit on a strong pull at 24psi after 50k miles & started misfiring.

I've had no problems with my mix tune.

see i was goin to do this but the thought of being a chemist at the pump everytime i go to fill up would suck...So i might do it now and just basically run it to empty then just fill up 6 gallons of each

A chemist? It is easy, just add even amounts of each in the tank (5 gallons E-85/ 5 gallons of 93).

ive been running it sometime now and i love it. Does kinda suck at times when im low on gas and i have to drive 15 miles to the nearest pump but i usually keep a full tank and just top it off any time i drive by there. This is the least expensive most hp for money gain you can get if you have your own tuning software.... well it really cost nothing.... actually saves a couple bucks at the pump lol.

Retunes for me are only 100 dollars so I am going to maybe add a cold pipe and then the E85 mix and get re tuned.

If i mix 50\50 do i have to do anything else to the car or just a tune. What would happen if i run it like that without a tune?

You will run lean as **** I would imagine since you are making more power with not as much fuel. You shouldn't need to do anything other than getting the E85 and getting it re tuned by someone who knows what their doing. The fuel lines and gaskets should be ok (hopefully)

Here is something that I made that helps me get my mixes for the desired E%:

E85 Calculator for Mobile Android iPhone

Still making improvements to it and would apprieciate feedback on if this is useful or what features would make it more useful for performance people.
