Anyone replaced their stock spring yet? Just wondering on how long/difficult of a job it is.

It does not take too long. Remove you intake from the turbo. Unbolt the tan plastic cover for the BPV. Then carefully remove the stock spring and seal. be carefull as the spring is compressed and can shoot across the room. Install the new spring on to the cover piece and the rubber seal. Compress the spring into the housing as you start the bolts for the cover. Be careful not to overtighten the bolts as you will crack the plastic cover Just snug them down good. It takes around 20 min total if you are not rushing through the install.

I put the new spring and an intake on, took about an hour total. Probably could have been done quicker but I took my time.

to remove intake, use a socket not screwdriver, its a lot easier and with a flexible extension too. i believe its 8 or 10 MM

Not hating on the BOV but why would you run both? Just get a blockoff plate and then use only the HKS valve. Would sound much better imo.

If I get a block off plate can I still do the spring upgrade. That's the only thing I'm a little confused about

No, becuse if you get the block off plate you will no longer use you stock BPV you will have to have a BOV mounted on your chargepiping.

so something as simple as a spring makes the turbo preform better? why didn't GM make the little stuff like that good. oh, so they could keep the price down on the car... right. just like the plastic under the hood. good thing it can be replaced... that's so unattractive

I has a better sound when the BPV opens. It does not really increase performance much except that it seals a little better and closes faster after you lift to shift so the response time for the turbo is a little better.

Then you do not need the spring. If you run a block off plate you are basically doing away with the stock BPV.

Not much difference from stock honestly. I have the spring in my car I mainly noticed a crisper sound from the BPV.
