I'm not saying it's not faster. Don't get me wrong. I want to do this kit, I just want to make sure I get my money's worth. :P
Sluggish, I guess thats just perspective. Compared this low boost run to a maxed stocker. He has one of the fastest stock turbo LNF's I think he would know if it's faster. Haha.. Now imagine this on meth and high boost..

You really have no idea do you? I had a byt meth tune that was ***** to the wall. Fastest 60-100 I had there was 4.8 seconds. I started before 60 so the turbo would spool. Put those two videos next to each other and watch I go from 60-120 at least a second and a half faster than that vids 70-120.

Damn that thing is a beast..

Would love to do that with mine, but I am a pansy.. Not too comfortable with anything over 90

Or maybe its the 6-7 speeding tickets I got from 16-18 years old..

I wasn't dissing your new setup. It is wicked fast, trust me! I realize you haven't fully tuned your car yet!

I'm just trying to figure out if a second a half faster is worth that much dough. :P It's just a personal thing, nothing against your car, didn't mean to come across that way. If you push it any further you're going to need to build the engine as well which is tonnes of dough, plus risking a tranny. I'm not willing to put that much money in the car.

Not everyone is looking to smash records like yourself. Not everyone can pull quick times at the track like you to do it either. :P

Keep us posted how the tuning goes!

I know that but believe me, its alot faster than it was. The pull is pretty crazy. Just look at it this way I ran 11.95 and if I would run 1.5seconds faster that would be 10.50 in the quarter mile

Turbo still has a lot left in it. If your using this as a end comparison might as well go by a stock TC..

Says who? We know the tranny is on borrowed time but who says the motor can't withstand 450+whp, safely, tune withstanding?

I realize the turbo has a tonne left in it - i'm not stupid.

I also realize that you are probably right on the line of what the stock internals can handle. Any further and you bend rods. More heat and you melt a piston.

Some people don't need full race cars to enjoy. At some point you have to be happy with what you have. I'm trying to figure out if i'll be happy on a s252 kit at low 20s psi and spending the money or just stay at my maxed out stock turbo. I'm not looking for a full race car that can run a 1/4 mile faster than a zr1. Nothing personal meant dude.

ZZP was running the stock internals the whole time they had the 252 on. The internals are fine, if you wanna run 23-24 psi you are never going to have a problem likely. This pull was on 24 psi and only still at 14 maybe 15 degrees timing and .85 lamda.

True enough. Your valvesprings could help too, more time in 3rd gear. I'm excited to see a pull when you're fully tuned!

That's just it Skip, it's dumb LOL. It's from South Park, youtube it

His car is certainly much faster then the vid posted of my car, the stock vid seems to hit a "wall" around 100 and Chris' clean sweeps right by and keeps the same pace. The speedo lags MAJORLY in these cars, even with a aggressive stock turbo tune, so I can't imagine how bad it is now. From the logs, it's MOVING lol.

The whole 60-120 can be done in 3rd with the valve springs. However, at 60mph with the 252 it's much better to be in 2nd gear for best acceleration.

Cmiller's car is very quick, videos do not do this kit justice, the car pulls extremely hard. I would say he's close to 400hp depending on the dyno. There is a lot to be said for just how potent the stock turbo is on the Cobalt. When you have the tune dialed in and power shift it can really move. It takes a lot of horsepower and traction to overcome a properly tuned and power shifted stock turbo car.

We have mine set up to run 25psi until around 6000rpm and then it goes up a pound or two from there to the top (75-7600). Currently peaking at 47 lb/min.
23-24psi would probably be ideal until 5500 or so because I have a considerable amount of wheel spin at 60mph with 25psi in 2nd gear. Going from a 40mph punch is nothing but wheel spin. Like.... not going anywhere, I literally smell burning rubber, get 3 cars pulled on me by a Stage 1 Caliber SRT-4...wheel spin. Once I have traction it moves out hard. By the time the Caliber gets to 100 I have gone by it in a blur.
Torque steer at 95mph in third gear is an interesting feeling. 410 lb ft seems to be the tipping point of complete lack of traction on the stock suspension and the 245/40 555's that I have on the front of the car.
