PB blaster is pure win. And a 100% agreement with installing the o2 sensor while the pipe is out from under the car.

couldn't budge o2 sensor, fml.

had the guys at CarX break the downpipe bolts loose..think he just did the front 4...not the back 3.

doused in pbblaster, will try again some other day.

The bottom 2 of the back 3 are easy.

The top once requires dropping the exhaust from it's hangers to gain clearance, I was able to get my 15mm deep well + 3/8" ratchet to get a few clicks when the exhaust is pushed to one side. I think if the rear of the car is jacked up the exhaust can drop lower.

Try heating around the 02 sensor threads to get em hot.

I had no problems what so ever getting the back three off. I used deep socket, small extension and a universal joint thingy. There was grunting tho...

o2 sensor wouldn't budge but i was using like, gator or grip pliers or some ****, not an actual wrench...so

think i am just gonna find someone local with a lift to help with it, laying under my car on janky stands is unnerving to me.

i also did hose down the o2sensor bolt and back 3 bolts in pbblaster.

Finally got mine off, had to have a shop air chisel the **** out of one nut til it fell apart. Two of the nuts came out with studs attached and I couldn't break them free (wanted to replace the nuts). Exhaust is so much of a pain in the dick...

The car sounds so much better with that being the only exhaust mod.

You're definitely not going to get the O2 sensor out with pliers. It'll be easy with a wrench, though.

i soaked all 7 bolts with liquid wrench as soon as i got mine on the lift. let it cool down a little bit then soaked em again. the only one i had a problem with was the top bolt on the back. i used a universal joint and it was still a pain in the @$$. i dont remember there being a gasket on the top of the stock dp. only gasket i put on was the one between the catback and dp. i aint had no problems out of it as far as throwin codes or anything else. the only problem i had is somehow after i did the exhaust, somehow the heat shield fell onto the exhaust and i got a terrible rattle. turned alotta heads on a cold start....and not good looks either. lol. so i just zip tied the heat shield back up.

Swivel sockets have been my best tool investment in the last few years. Impact only, and never use them on non-locking extensions, unless you want to guarantee it flying off. I bought a truck brand, but there are cheapies available. Just make sure you wear eye protection.

Man, I remember getting hit in the forehead with a socket after the swivel started to helicopter when it came off the bolt, while I still had the impact triggered. It's like it was in slow motion..............then blackness. I had a knot the size of a football on my forehead for a week.
