I just dyno'd last week 256whp/258wtq....bone ass stock... I cant freaking believe how well this car takes to a tune.

Mods coming before tune:

FMIC, Charge Piping with bov, 3" Exhaust, sri

I just want to wait for GM to show their cards with the stage kit before I pull the trigger. My TC is under a blanket in my garage anyhow... spring time will be sick.

Awesome tune.

bullshit. no way you got 40 more horespower and almost 100lb/ft. torque with no modifications...complete bullshit.

I know here no matter what the make of the car is unless it has a 6spd in it dyno runs are always in 3rd, if its a 6 spd they do them in 4th

All you have to do is look at the gear box ratio's and use the gear thats closest to 1 to1 .

Technically 4th gear is closest to 1:1, at 0.89, but it is an overdrive gear so third is the best choice IMHO.

But what if I tuned my car now, then added an intake, DP and charge piping later, would I need a re-tune?

Ok, rookie question.........

What is the point of going to get the stage kit from Chevy if they have already found a way to make 300+ from a tune by an everyday tuner?

Beside a tune what does the dealer do?

great #'s

Yup. warranty that's it.

I'm starting to wonder if the car will do better with the new sensors and then get an aftermarket tune. Allow for more boost and probably power

Yeah it's nerve racking. It's amazing GM doesn't hire some of these tuners. I mean it's not like Psyckosteve has blown up a bunch of cars with his tune. GM stage 2 was crap. I'm just afraid the LNF tunes will run pig rich as well. They do more harm than good.

i have read that there is hidden power with the gm kit, i think it would be worth it to get their kit and hae a tune on top of that. but of course i will wait and see

I'm guessing because with less power = less things breaking....

well the gm tuned FWD platforms are going to develop less torque than the RWD kappas because of 1 or 2 things

1: F35 cant handle 350lbft as a daily driver
2: Torque steer that happens with 350lb ft

I'm wodering what all of these 300whp car will be running at the track come this summer. Is it going to be real? trapping 110+? or are they going to be like people with 2.8 60's and exhaust making "270" and still trapping 103.

350hp can be handled by these transmissions as long as you upgrade the clutch. 400 i pushing it. I am not going over 350.

12's will be no problem if you are over 300whp especially if you have better tires
