I also only unplugged them didnt remove the tank completely... i see there reasoning of putting it there tho... to reduce torque steer... its not on the sky's cause there rwd

In stock form yes. We have no proof that with a currently tuned car however, spool time is increased for sure. Their is a guy that just posted he is going to dyno a Trifecta tuned car with a few mods. I have suggested that he does a test with the Tank Delete. Let's hope he does it for us.

How is your car boosting now ? I did it because I wasnt getting the amount of boost I wanted. If you getting 22 or 23 psi now I wouldnt do it. But if all you do is drive it on the weekends and race you could do it.

Thank you. So the 6-7 whp gained and torque can be seen on a stock tune? That is awesome. I am planning on doing a baseline dyno on my car soon and I might give this a try.

One more question. Will this mod affect NLS?from reading it seems it affects the car in closed throttle conditions. Also isn't nls done by the PCM under 95-100% throttle or wot only?

Please post your thoughts.

Interesting. Have you taken it back to the dyno since? Have you done any other mods?

I think we need to test thing on a Tuned car. If we get good results we would need to sticky this.

Vote - Please sticky

Ill be up the track memorial weekend. theres races all weekend and Ill have some results with my ride which is just about maxed out on the stock turbo and clutch.

Regardless how the car felt this is straight from the horses mouth so I'm thinking F it. Still doesn't explain why it's not on the rwd's.

Unnecessary in vaccum/necessary in boost ?
I think it has to do with the NLS. The extra vacuumn slows down the boost reference signal a split second longer for the turtle shifters . Since I put in my short throw I havnt had any problems pounding the gears. But I might not be right so dont take it to the bank.

I'm actually going to agree with you here. because since i removed the vacuum tank its kinda harder to NLS. however, i dont do it much anymore
