I drove my car to work today had no issues until I left work and go home. I went to go pull my E-Brake up and then it just fell right back down. If I pull it up and hold it there it will still work. Any ideas on what could have caused this problem and how can I fix it?

 

I've had a few problems with my e-brake in the past. Pull your center console up and take a look at the cable, make sure it's still evenly connected to the bridge clip. See if anything's broken. That's all I can think of...maybe check rear brakes too, make sure they're still healthy.

you broke your plastic pen most likely Thats happen gm will half to order u a new ebrake assiembly. this happen to me . if u take out the plast trim around the ebrake look under the ebake and u should see a gear laying down under it with two little plastic peaces beside it, its so stupid how its designd
