Just wonderin if we can run e85 or cam 2 in our gms1 tc's?? Cam 2, I think is like 100 octane and about 7.50 a gallon where E85 is much cheaper but only has octane rating of around 95-96. I certainly don't want to ruin my cat or sensor from using high octane but maybe a blend of 93 and/or cam 2/e85 ??

 

E85 is a nono, DI cant support enough fuel to get any gains out of it.

 

gonna need a tune where u can adjust the tune. look at trifecta tune over the gm stage one and mabee some meth

 

first e85 is some where around 112-117 octane , cam2 is 110 octane.

second- reason why neither can be ran in these cars is that they only read up to something like 101 octane being that cam2 and e85 is a lot higher of octane the vehicle can not read and compensate for the oxygen levels so the car leans out severely causing the motor to blow of course. if you look at any flex fuel vehicle the main differences are: fuel filter, and tune

 

Damn! E85 is dirt cheap at a gas station in Shamong!!! So if i get a trifecta tune i can run E85?
