buddy of mine bought an ebay intake for his SS SC and his car lost power. put it on the dyno and was making something like 170+ hp. he took it off and put stock back on and said he instantly felt a difference.

Air Box mod consistis of Kn Filter
Gut yout air box. then take of the snorkley and everything underneith it. then take off the bottom main piece (50% bottom half of the air box) and let it hang... Thats every way I have seen it done. The the ZZP 3in intake tube.... On my base model I took the snorkle off swiss cheesee modded the bottom of it with 1/2 in holes everywhere and CLEANED my filter and my intake whistles passed 4krpm LOL! It works... and with a turbo car it just makes the turbo noisier

Ok it seems people dont realize that the airbox mod im talking about is for the LSJ not the LNF. When I made my first post I didnt realize this was the LNF section so I posted thinking it was for the LSJ. Staged07 was the one that did the test not me so I dont have pic proof nor do a give two ***** if u believe me. Its also be discussed many times that Injen was one of the intakes that would threw a cel light for lsj without and tune and to claim an stock LSJ with just and Injen intake would gain 16 whp is well stupid. I like turbotech but please dont make false claims. I personly have no idea what is the best intake for the LNF iv heard the K&N is but iv not do any research on it since I dont know one.

Injen never threw codes on a LSJ if the intake was the one and only mod. We have sold and installed 100's on the LSJ. Other added mods after may cause a CEL, but that is not the intakes fault. Talk to James your tuner he will agree with us.

Injen has a dyno sheet on their website, further more it has been proven over the years also. Dont go by what you hear. Seems every post you are just going on and on from "he said/she said". Dont spread false info, as you are currently doing by not speaking with any data.

Never the less this is a LNF thread... Time to step out.

If you want the intake mod, great, do it, just dont dont spread false info on the forums to make yourself feel better about going the cheap way out.

Im sorry but they has been cases of people getting cels with the injen intake due to fuel trims being off, this is talking about a stock tune not a custom tune. Just because james may agree with one thing dont mean I will, like i said my post are based on data info that staged07 has, I dont have the info he does so its not based on he said she said.

Anyways sorry another lsj still here to comment for the airbox mod the best comparison on power gains I can get is, AEM makes a air box replacement CAI and the OTTP website claims a 9 HP gain at 5300 rpm. As for the injen throwing codes I had heard about it and my cousins did throw a code after installing it but he did have other mods and no tune.
