Ebay Turbo**

Hello I bought a 06 cobalt ss turbo conversion and there was a leak so I took the turbo out and it turned out to be a m12 turbo from ebay... does anybody know how shitty those turbos really are? How much psi can they withstand and how long do the turbos last with a hp tune? I need a new turbo now so just wondering

Forget the ebay turbo and buy a proper one. Imagine if it blows to pieces and grenade your motor.

Ebay turbos are made of horrible grade of metal and easily become unbalanced and end up blowing. Don't be cheap, you'll just blow more money in the end.

I've used them on budget beater cars and they worked out suprisingly well. But from what I've read, the 50/50 comment is spot on.

You can buy a new journal bearing Precision Turbo for double the price of the Ebay Turbo and I guarantee it will last at least twice as long.

Alot of the honda boys around here run the whole ebay turbo kits and their cars seem to never be running right and seem not to last long

A lot of the Honda boys also run FMU's, which are a HUGE fail.. Especially when the **** to tune them correctly costs almost nothing.

im gonna add my 2 cents. If ur gonna do something do it right the first time. Dont get cheap crap for ur car, ur gonna end up spending more money in the end, and possibly break ur car.

You need to do a lot more research. Yes, a wastegate is needed.

I have an external wastegate setup in my car however I need the lines to hookup my manual boost controller to the wastegate and the turbo... Or can I just get a tune and leave my boost controller alone???

I think a better idea is to stop acting like you have some fuel injected Civic.

Stop being cheap, get off Flea Bay for car parts. Do **** right or don't do it at all.
