More timing? I'm already at 19*. Pretty sure I have it nailed down, I am just running it safely rich. My dyno numbers were less that respectable, but the dyno is really conservative. I only dyno'd 219/219 stock. 247/274 tuned.

19* back it down... looses power over about 17* from my findings... although it feels better up top!

I am running .90. I have a dyno I can go play on now, so that will be helpful.

So im looking for a Turbo that will give me more power (around 450hp), but react a lil slower than the stock Turbo, since i dont like roasting my tires through 2nd gear... lol! I was looking into the K04 buy decided not to because i wont get over 400hp and the spool time would be pretty much the same as stock. So what would be the best Turbo to go with? GT28 or GT30? My car is a Daily Driver and i would like something that spools decently quick but still gives me around 450 hp.

GT28 would get you plenty of power.

Nope. I confused my racegas tune and street tune, lol. Racegas tune is on .90 at 21*, but street tune is 18* at .87.

LOL, ya your going to light them up but at that power range the driver mod is FTW. you learn to discipline your foot on lifting than you should be ok. Then again at that power range your tranny is out side of it's comfort zone. To be completely honest a street FWD car making 450hp FTL. That kinda power is for loooonnngg straight aways. 1/4 mile or course tracks aren't really that suited

Well depending on how it goes in AZ, im moving there in feb, after im done with school i might try to get me a 67-69 Camaro project. Ive always wanted one and love the look of them. If i do i wont put a bigger turbo on the cobalt, ill just make a beast of the Camaro.

Synapse got back to me about upgrading turbos. They said they would upgrade to the 3071r for an additional 100 dollars. The 3076r on the other hand will not fit onto their setup.

using 262WHP as his stock HP and now he's at 363WHP and my car along with others dyno right at the 240WHP stock. Ok, thats leaves you a 9.17% discrepency between 240 and 262. Theory tells me that the dyno he uses reads 9.17% high. therefore his WHP on more realistic dyno would be ~330WHP. Off my calculations i see 358WTQ.

NOTE:my theory, not necessarily correct

lets say a cobalt turbo has this kit and puts down 375 whp... is there any possible traction mods that would completely eliminate 3rd gear traction problems, and dampen most of the traction problems in 2nd gear... ex: wider tires, tranny mounts, torque limiter

or is this kind of power simply unctrollable for a fwd cobalt?
