Electric cutout

Ive searched the muffler delete option and they all seem to sound pretty good. Now I was wondering if anyone here runs a electric exhaust cutout? I want the option to switch back to stock exhaust sound.

Any specific brands?

I have a friend with a Caliber SRT-4 and it's insanely loud...

I prefer the sound of this car with cat/res/muffler. It sounds stockish at idle, and then sounds AWESOME when you get on it!

depends upon where you plan on mounting it

if you plan on running it before your cat (aka straight dump after the turbo), then i think you may run into some codes as its going to by-pass your 02 sensor entirely.. dont quote me on that though.. If its possible to do it this way without tuning issues I would cuz straight dump "should" give the most power

and if you plan on going after the 02 sensor, then idk.. seems like a big waste of money for just a sound aspect. A quality cutout isn't cheap

Yeah I'm going to be running a cutout. Sounds like a normal straight pipe when open

Placed it in the first section of the catback

If you decide to go with the electric cutout . Make sure you take it off every winter and keep some carb cleaner handy because they get a lot of carbon build up. And get stuck open/shut ... That's why Hahns doesn't sell anymore

you could always vband the muffler delete and straight pipe it. would take like 5 mins and a wrench to swap from muffler delete and muffler.
