Why get cams when the stock turbo can only flow so much air?

thats a good point but if the cams flow better, than the turbo will flow better as well. The turbo is has a spool limit but is also limited by the cams that feed the air into engine.

Theoretically if you get better flowing cams then you should be able to have a free-er flowing turbo and a better flowing turbo until the spool limits the air flow. So I fore see a power increase in the mid-high rpms. maybe more power after 5100rpms, thats would rock.

I agree that it seems like the turbo and head need to be worked over first in order for this to be an effective upgrade, but interesting to hear about nonetheless....keep us posted.

Theres someone on the lnf-performance forum trying to cams too.. I agree though, not until the fueling tables are unlocked, you have a upgraded turbo and new head will you need cams. which is what well over 450whp and up.

Is there any place other than the dealership that sells LNF cylinder heads?

I have a contact for LMR performance here who does their CNC work. He ported my LS6 heads when I had my LSX, did incredible work and provided me all the flow benchmarks as well. It would be cool to have him take a stab at the LNF head.

things in order you need to worry about, stock turbo, fueling is the biggest issue , then head flow then cams
