Nope not me i NEVER go on my facebook I thought it was a forum until matt told me it was FB. Maybe I was quoted from this site.

I'm curious to how it will run on the GMS1 without any tune just bolting it on he should pick up some power but it only runs 21psi i think I just think the GMS1 PE table is junk. I'd watch for knock and if none then let her eat!

Huh...so this is what my internship money is going towards this summer I guess. Doesn't seem like a bad upgrade since I can't take a chance of my tranny going boom. I know it's in the tune, but I just can't blow it up.

depending on who tunes it, it can go boom with this turbo. Torque hits hard depending on the tune because these small turbos spool really quick. You could be at full boost by about 3200 and that's where it can bite you. I have to watch what im doing because of that.
Whoever can dyno this setup try and do everyone a favor and do a before and after, or the results are meaningless. I wanted to do it, but the dyno i went to was only setup to do rwd. Havent been back since swapping turbo's.

Well a before and after has to be done by a new customer because I don't have my stock K04 anymore because I sent it back as a core.

So intercooler with be here on July 4!! just in time for a weekend tune and install!!

This interests me as I won't have the money for a big turbo and trans for a long time. The decent upgrade in power and cheap price is a catch. Interested in these dynos!

You'll like it because of my leaks I'm only on stock boost and it isn't slow. What are your mods so far?

so just to keep this thread going a little bit i took the specs that you posted on the k04r and compared it to both the bnr wheel upgrades and the BNR2860 (Like the K04+) is 47.3mm x 60mm. The BNR2871 is 53.02mm x 71mm so the k04r is literally a happy medium haha at 50mm x 65.9mm lol so id expect numbers around 360-380 on pump

Yes a bit bigger than the K04+ but smaller than the 2871 The one thing we have yet to test (Dyno soon for me) is the stock housing even after being ported a big limiting factor??

Just to quote Bryan Nickell who makes the BNR2871,

"Max power with the 2871 is around 430 FWHP. Its close to 100 WHP gain over stock maxed out. You won't benefit from a billet wheel with that GT28 turbine wheel. I am so suprised that turbine flows over 400 WHP."

and

"That turbine wheel is maxed out with the 2871 cw. The turbine housing has no more meat left for a bigger turbine."

I would think the stock turbine is going to be the limiting factor in this setup, not the housing itself. We should start a HP poll and see who wins a free turbo lol, my money is on 378whp

All the numbers that people are saying i would be happy with if I hit. If I hit 378hp tho I would be really happy with that!
