Tuned Snail on E47 today. We gained .886sec over the 91 tune on a 75 to 100 so on a 60 to 100 that's prob 1.2 to 1.5secs. We have more work to do for another day but today's gains were a nice change

Did some V-dyno testing with Pops car today. He recently blew the end tank on his stock IC and upgraded to a TR10 (holy massive...) and needed some adjustments. Apparently it's been leaking for some time and we couldn't figure out why it needed so much WG to run the same pressure as mine. Prior to any changes, I logged 28.xx lbs in third... Hahahahaha. Massive differences in IATs both during and after the runs. 86* ambient, 88* IAT2 (99* by the end of 4th).

Logged a best of 391/414.
20*, 24lbs and testing some new OS ideas.

Considering the weather, ambient and baro readings, it's almost identical to my power output. I need to retest mine with the latest addition of the RFL. Curious to see if it's truly worth having a full on 3" turbo back exhaust. It seems to but it could also be from the OS changes too...

Got back in contact with one of the first guys I've ever tuned from Cali. He's go the lobe on full E with a gen 1 R and today he ran a 4.622 60 to 100 and that is basically on a really old tune plus a couple updates I have learned over the year. This is gonna be very close to breaking into the 3s once we're done! It'll be kinda ironic if one of the first guys I've tuned leaves for a year and comes back and is the first R to break 400!!

If you like spending money you don't need to. As long as you are on the r you don't need it with e-47. Use that money to save for a built short block.

Was it winter blend e because that's a lot lower e. What did it test content wise at the pump? Please tell me you checked.

If you doing a basic 50/50 mix, its likely your E content is only around 35% if the premium fuel you use contains 0% ethanol. Winter blends usually stay at 70% until around May here in Nebraska and we grow the damn corn lol

Here, save this ethanol calculator link. Very useful.

Cool thanks man, the 91 should have 10% e but then who knows, I never fill up from that type of gas station (valero) but since they are the only ones with e I just get the 91 from them. Where could I get a good tester for the content of e?

I've been looking into getting this type of setup so I know the exact ethanol content of the fuel at all times. This is badass but $$

Zeitronix ECA : SEMA Award Winning Ethanol Content Analyzer and Flex Fuel Sensor for E-85 and E-85/gasoline Blends

Otherwise you can buy cheap kit off eBay or something that is just your basic water separation test with a graduated cylinder which is really the only other way and is a pita

I just use the cheap quick fuel one and I wait till about May to swap over to e-47. Our winter e here is just over 70%. But I also mix 93 in with the e when I run e47, so my octane is close to 100. Yay for timing bump.

It's got to be better than 91. My car on e-47 is WAY different. Should really be fun on the different trans.
