Question GM Performance Parts

Well the new GM catalog is scheduled for release within the next 6 weeks and is said by a Tec rep from GM Performace Division to have TC upgrades available from GM at that time as well. Is anyone aware of what these may include? The rep says he can't discuss the new products until the catalog reaches the dealerships.

Im just waiting for someone to say, "When I was at SEMA I talked to the head engineer for the LNF and he said that there would be a stage 12 uprgrade kit for the LNF. Stages 1-11 do NOT exist. So its stock, or 1,300 AWHP (because the stage 12 kit comes with the AWD converstion kit)."

Well I am not full of BS like most of the people around here. I didn't speak to the tec myself. I was at the GM parts dealership and they called them directly. After being put on hold for about 20 minutes they finally spoke with him while i stood there. He was on a speakerphone so I was able to listen to their conversation. I am not claiming anything, simply looking for someone who isn't full of crap to include any real info they may have...

GM blows for performance parts anyways.....(in terms of quantity). I'm sure they'll offer an exhaust, intake... and..... maybe a reflash... and then thats it. thanks for coming out.

(for 4 bangers specifically)

and what catalog are we talking about, the 2008 catalog is out and mentioned nothing about the lnf

OK so has anyone heard if the stage 12 kit will void your warranty?!?! OMG OMG I have GOT to know this!!!! I might try to put a cone filter inside my stock airbox, do you think this will void my stage 12 warranty?!?

Do you really need help answering your question or do you think you can figure this one out?

lol yah but do performance parts come out the same day? this is a performance parts catalog... you think they would need some time to develop and test them.

and i worked in the industry, we also have model year changes in july but we still release parts catalogs in december to conincide with year end. go figure.

Well what is there to guess...do you think they're going to be releasing 2007 or 2009MY performance parts?

If the 2008 catalog has been released then what is the next logical catalog release?

Posting on these forums is downright frightening. Assumptions are a bitch, but sometimes there are some safe bets...

the catalog was for the 1st quarter and the lnf wasnt even out yet. when the next update for the catalog comes out it should be in there.

Well yes, I see your point, but I never assume the OP knows what they are talking about. I saw quite a few posts saying the TC "just came out" in the weeks after it actually showed up in someones driveway. So I take things lightly at first...

So really I was just double checking with the OP to make sure he wasn't referring to the 2008 catalog because I knew that one had been out for a while.

And yes I'm a bit ****.... But I am by occupation a Financial ANALyst, and like you said, assumptions are a bitch and in my job you don't make them which is why I was asking
