GMS1 tune
This number is nearly possible without the GMS1. I really dont see the point of getting the GMS1 tune if youre going to get retuned anyways. I understand the sensors and OS are a benefit but really, what is the actual point? Logically speaking it is pointless that is if you are keeping the stock turbo.
EDIT- Oh BTW Nelson, I love your fcking town...I actually am still contemplating on moving there. LETS GO OTTERS!!!

Will do bro. My gf has ALOT of family up there, we will probably head up there in late October, or mid January.

Windows 95 vs Windows Vista
YES thats a complete Dramatization, but you get the point, software could open up new possibilities in the tuning aspect.
We are 40 days into the 30 to 90 day window it usually takes for California to issue the Executive Order that give the kit 50 state emissions approval. So it could be any day now.
Now when I buy the parts, can I go to any GM dealer? Or does it have to be a GMPP GM dealer? Because the closest GMPP certified dealership closest to me in 75+ miles away from my place yet I have 3 chevy dealers within 10 miles of my house.
I've looked at CED and GM Parts Direct and it comes down to whether or not you want an Ecotec Shirt for $12 bucks. CED is $562. and change with the shirt and GM Parts direct is $550 even without the shirt.
I think I'm about done... I want CP but other than that I don't really need anything. I'll have to buy some summer rims but far as performance wise I doubt I'll be getting right away

with the GMP tune the learn down will be taken off. it even says so on the GM Tunersource Website. Also the kit can be bought for 100$ cheaper on crateenginedepot.com . and i already called the dealer and they said as long as it was a GM part which it is. that they would install it for me. However they charge 2hrs worth of labor time. However it has to be done by the dealer in order to maintain ones warranty which im sure most of you know
so hopefully no later than the 26th....

time is most likely:
1 hour for part install
1 hour for flash
You do NOT need to have the dealer install the part to stay under warranty. The gmpp engineer Bill already stated this.
