Look under your hood.
See that stupid piping setup?
That's why.

Does that sound realistic, or am I dealing with confused people?
Nope Not realistic. We are still waiting for word from CARB we are some where around day 50 or a 30 to 90 day window. The dealer may be reacting to us getting the cals in the "system" so they can be turned on in less than 24 hours after we hear from CARB.

Well it's good to get feedback from you. I'm going crazy waiting on this.

Thanks. Accurate bad news is better than inaccurate info from the dealer.

Dealer update

GM tech support just got back in touch with my dealer and told them "not until next month". Take it for what it's worth...

It means nothing. No one knows. No one. We are waiting and that's all we can do.

It's not a completely blind wait though. If you've followed the 3million other threads on this same EXACT topic...then you'd know where we stand. MoreHP_MoreTQ has explained COUNTLESS times what's involved with the process. We are in the 2nd half of an approximate 90 day period that it typically takes Calivornia to give/approve a CARB certification.

So it should be less than 2 months from now. That's about as specific as it gets at this point.

I'd like to say a big thank you to MoreHP_MoreTQ for being as understanding as he has been for all the redundancy created by the multitude of identical threads.

Yeah, I really want the warranty, When the warranty is gone then I will go crazy with tunes, meth, clutches, motor mounts, and all of those other fun naughty mods.

I played the warranty game for the first few months, i found out that gm will only find my tune if they send the computer back to their hq. only reason they would do that is if somethign catastrophic happened like if i shot a piston into a house and impaled an old woman washing dishes. plus, theyre already saying they wont cover this or that if this or that goes wrong. theyre giving me the warranty run around so i said screw it. i wana enjoy it not stress over it. lovin my tune. to each his own. i cant wait to see the stage kit. im excited

That was my deal. They can void your warranty whether it's stock or not. Fortunately, my dealer is pretty down to earth about mods. They actually offered to and installed my Hahn IC for me after my stock one blew. I'm sure a tune would be a different story than bolt-ons, but if it breaks due to me then it's only right I pay to fix it. If it's something that's their fault then it's up to them to fix it. I think my service advisor and I have that understanding. Plus, that's how it should be anyway; no dealer screwing customer over, but no customer screwing dealer over either.

heres the dilema, you have a rare disorder called common sense. most people dont have it. they want handouts. i agree with you 100% man up and take responsibilty for your actions and dont screw over the dealer. as with that comes the dealer not screwing you over. thats harder to get lol mine is cool too but he said that the stage kit does come with some iffyness about the warranty. ik its been discussed many times so i wont go into it. just that little bit of iffyness turns me away

when the stage kit comes out, we will do a comparison between the stage kit and the trifecta kit . we can run the cars up at cecil county dragway. I plan on tuning with trifecta over the stage kit after the 3bar map sensors are installed. Thats my deal .

I would get the stealth tune.
