Nah no biggie I wouldn't have known what I was doing anyways lol. There were no options for different springs through ZZP's website it just says "All units are tested for leakage and proper opening at 18-20" vacuum"...and since that's what my vacuum was sitting at before this mod I assumed that was the correct thing to order...Not sure why my Vacuum readings would have changed from before and after this mod but apparently they have...

^^Yes and maybe someday I will actually like my BOV lol. But seriously...can anyone think of any reasons why before doing this mod I was seeing between 18-20 vacuum at idle and now I'm seeing 20-22 afterward? For some reason that doesn't make sense to me??

That doesn't really make sense, but if you are over 20" at idle, then you will need a stronger spring. Mine is only around 18, but the tune is completely different, so anything is possible. I think I will just send you a different BOV so you don't have to take it apart.

OK cool! Simple enough...do you think that MAF code has anything to do with the Vacuum not being where it should?

OK...did a little test...cleared the code and now my Vacuum is sitting at about 19-20 Vacuum...??? But the BOV is still leaking at idle...maybe it's just a bad BOV or spring or something??

Dammit I ordered the same bov that Sweetsandman did and mine comes in monday and hes having problems with the spring.

I guess I might need a EXPERT to come install mine if there's a problem with his, or I might need the bigger spring

I got the stattama 50mm bov that is way cheaper then the real Tial but will the bigger spring fit into it I'm sure it will but want a deff. answer

The BOV is fine. You are just pulling too much vacuum to use that valve.

We will swap yours, too. I will make sure we only use 21" vac valves on LNFs from now on. We never had this issue before because most people only run them with a blow-through MAF. In that case, a tiny leak because the valve is open just a hair wouldn't matter. The MAF would still read fine.

Interesting so when I do the MAF relocate from you guys later on down the line (next mod for sure) It won't matter if the BOV is leaking a bit like it is currently? Obviously the leak will be fixed by then, but just for reference.

Sandman- your 21" valve just shipped. There is a return label in the box. If you could put the old valve in this box and stick the label on it, you can give it to the UPS driver.

Right. You still want it closed all the way at idle/cruising, but it wouldn't hurt the tune at all on a blow-through MAF setup if it was open a little.

If you haven't inatalled yours yet, we should wait to see how sandman's works out and I can get a new valve sent your way tomorrow.

Will do! I live right by the UPS store so I'll run it up there as soon as I get out of work tomorrow. And I received the spacer today as well! It's not what I was initially expecting but I see how it works. Just for reference to anyone else that requested the block off spacer since I was probably the first to receive it and most were probably expecting what I was expecting. This is what you sent me:

But I was expecting something like this for some reason:

I'm taking it that that piece of piping just replaces the spring that is in the factory BPV.

How does that piece block off the stock bpv? that looks weird, but I'm sure it works

It doesn't "block it off" in the sense that I was expecting like the thing from Hahn does. But with this, you take out the spring from the factory BPV and replace it with this solid pipe...thus, disabling the factory BPV if I'm not mistaken.

Oh okay, I was thinking that the stock bpv needed a block off plate like the hahn one above, but I guess not

See I knew other people were expecting what I was expecting Either way works fine though, as long as you essentially disable the factory BPV all should be well.

You are correct. It holds the valve closed. The Hahn plate hold the valve closed as well. It just replaces the cover. If the turbo was visible on the car, I can see where theres would look nice, but since you can't, we use these and save you $40.

Didn't Hahn make two revisions of that piece?

LOL they don't believe in the "measure it twice cut it once" philosophy I guess.

I'll update as soon as I install it tomorrow don't worry. And the only problems I ran into (outside of the BOV) were getting the new Charge pipe onto the lower rubber tube. It's a TIGHT squeeze and there's not a lot of room to work with down there. And getting the lower clamp off that was holding the factory charge tube on. It was a pain in the butt trying to cut it in that tiny area...then I busted out the dremel and got it off in 2 seconds...so hopefully you have a dremel...because a razor knife or saw will be able to do it...but it will take forever and make you want to kill yourself.

Just an update on my parts. I got my new CP today and everything went great. I'm not sure if the car is stronger since I only had my Trifecta tune for a week and then the DP/CP went on. I'm hoping to hit the track sunday morning before any mothers day activity so hopefully I will have some times sunday afternoon.

Lmao, Okay yeah I'm sure I have a dremel to cut it off so I'm not worried and I did look down there the other day

your right that is very tight down there but I'll figure it out I might try underneath and see if I can do it better that way

Trust me...underneath won't work..unless you want to take a lot of **** off to get to it. From up top it was relatively simple...you just have to have a good grip and use a lot of force to shove the new pipe on there...and a dremel...I can't stress how much simpler having that made everything.

It takes about 5 minutes to pull the wheel well out of these cars and it makes access to all that stuff a snap.
