Soon, I hope. I finally hit 23 psi at 5.5k rpm after siliconing the leak etc. Now I'm guessing it's still the wastegate that needs a little more tightening. Saturday ima tighten it one more time. If nothing helps then I don't really even know anymore.
No worries man, get another log! LOL jk
Yep, bought a new laptop from bestbuy for 400 last year.

If she doesn't find hers then I'm just gonna wait until Black Friday this year and pick up a little NetBook for cheap. Dave is doing some tweaking to my car this Saturday cuz the 4" intake is a PITA haha. Gotta scale the MAF some and drop the boost a little. Really wish I would have just went with the 5th injector while the car was there oh well tho!

You can run windows on your mac so you can still use hpt
Fastgti69 your issue has to be the wg. That kinu billet has given every evo owner problems. There is a guy im friends with on fb and evom that lives in savannah that has your exact version of the turbo iirc. Tom stout. He has posted his graphs. You should be spooling sooner.
On a side note i talked to a cobalt owner on fb last night who has recently installed a s20g and says he is getting 25psi at 3500

it didnt on mine, the turbo would spool crazy fast when its not building boost and just tossing it out the hole in my manifold. At least that is my explination for my 3600rpm logs. I dont need logs now. I can sit in the car WOT it getting on the highway and watch the car build boost and almost by design it hits 4K on the tach and the car takes off like a rocket to 7K, I have to almost instantly shift.

I bought a used Dell for $150 that was perfectly capable of running HPT. There are plenty of cheap, used laptops out there that will do that one thing you need. I leave it in my trunk because I don't use it for anything else.

Craigslist is a good place for cheap laptops. BTW, I think James is going to come down to Cali. I'm going to buy his built motor and he's going to isntall the cams/valvsprings for me too and fix my 25g issue and tune it. So hopefully this will happen by august. It's worth the engine swap and to fix my issue and just go big. No i won't really have restraints on putting anywhere near 550whp+.

hey c130. I bought James' turbo setup with the custom built s20g. so far dyno wise I was extremely disappointed with the numbers I made only being 336 on 26 psi. 9* mid range 13* up top. I'm on stock motor and stock clutch so I know theres plenty of room for a lot more aggressive tuning. at least i'd like to believe there is. but I don't see how there can be that much room if i'm only making 336whp on 26 psi. when I run my buddy here in indy that's fully bolted with pistons and e47 on the stock k04 we literally have a dead even race. 60-135 mph we were less than a fender length ahead of one another. and he made 346whp/4xxwtq. at most i'd inch ahead of him throughout the rpms but when u counter in the split second of lag from 3rd to 4th we end up even in the end.

I wouldn't let my experience thus far effect your selection. i'm on a very weak tune just a lot of boost. very little timing and very slow boost ramp. I just think my numbers were a bit on the low side. but at the same time I don't have a true intake. i'm running just a 4" filter directly on the inlet so on the dyno my intake tempuratures were in the 130* range. so I know for sure that had a big effect on my results. out on the street i'm usually 3-7* within ambient temperature.

you are not going to get the 20g over 400whp without ethanol or some form of it. The thing is you all are direct injected. Unless you run a 5th injector or a port fueler you are limited. I am on an LSJ with big injectors. SFI and e85 on 27lbs of boost and 19 degrees up top made the 472 wheel horsepower. Full mods list in my profile garage.
Nickateen keep working on it your numbers can get a lot better than that.
