On the kappa forum they are arguing whether one guy is making 500whp on his setup. He is fully built with cams, heads, 5th inj, and the s20g. We concluded that the efr6758 is rated to flow 49lb/min and the s20g 51.65lb/min so i think it is possible on full e85. Need dyno results

The s20g max flow is 685cfm and 47.5 lbs per min. The lbs per min will raise with via billet wheels and so on. The Efr 6758 is max 46/47 as well. On a built engine high boost aka 30+ lbs stroked and canned I can see mid 400s to midhigh like 475. But not in a kappa. I've seen kappas push good numbers but they al went to high ass dynos.

The conversion from cfm to lb/min we got was actually 51.65lb/min on the s20g. And in comparison Borg warner lists the efr6758 at 49lb/min. The car owner says with ported heads, cams, 5th injector and full e85 he is over 500whp but has no dyno proof. He dynod previously on a dyno dynamics at 405 and that was without the heads, cams and 5th injector and without e85. Now the 405 may have been on e47 i dont know tho.
So add the heads and cams and gain say 25 whp which brings it to 430. Add ~10% for the e85 and added fuel so thats 43 hp. So 430+43=473hp. Thats as high as i see it being. And thats a stretch imo.

All this dyno talk.... My 400/400 I the 20g will be 430whp on another dyno or 350 on another or my 496/527 will be 550whp on another dyno or 390 on another. Dynos are junk.
I've seen dyno dynamics read high as **** as well as low. Zzp has a hoggish reading mustang dyno and so do others. Also low ones. I've seen low dyno jets and very high ones.
The s20g can outflow the wheel 685 is most which Is with the billet wheel or a light weight wheel and a td06 turbine. Because the flow. The average output for a s20g is 635/650 .
My turbo flows 950/975cfm with the lighter wheel. Reg 25with smaller wheel is 925cfm

True that, I'm with you on that one James. Hence why I don't give a **** when a shop puts out a dyno sheet for their turbos. ZZP's dyno is by far the Happiest of the bunch.

hate to bring a thread from the dead, but i'm gonna go with the hahn. i can care less about 500hp, 450hp, or 400hp. i will be happy with 380ish-390ish on 93 pump. price wise, this is the better option for ME. imo, my tranny will love me for it later lol. it's a cobalt...not a vette lol...hell with the stock k04 on there and tune, it impresses me and anyone in the passenger seat and people with "faster" cars.. so give me an extra 60hp or so for $1000, i'm good.

So since I rebuilt my turbo and my car is badass beast right now according to Yelcal. I thought i would show some proof of what a 20g does after a rebuild or when new. Here you can see at 3600 rpm that it hits my boost setting of 20 psi (238 kpa - 100kpa atmosphere using my phones barometric pressure sensor) This turbo is so much fun and is way better than my before turbo rebuild of 4500 rpm to reach max boost. Just thought I would share that the 20g is even still better than the nay sayers boost lag concerns.
